Schoolchildren, especially those in pre-school and early elementary years are having difficulty dealing with subjects like Mother Tongue and Filipino. “Nangamote gyud akong mga anak aning duha ka subject kay naay spelling og vocabulary. Naglisod na man gani kadtong English, samot na karon kay napun-an og duha ka language nga subjects,” complained an Ear informer, a mother of three children.

MOTHER TONGUE. The informer said that teaching children Bisaya or Mother Tongue is good but having them learn three languages is too much. “Nakurat ang mga bata. Naglibog na hinuon,” she added.
