New style barbershop

NEW STYLE. A Chinese businessman (who claims to be Tsinoy) who runs some barbershops in Hong Kong and Macau is planning to open a branch of his “new style” barbershop in Manila or Cebu. But his application for business permit “is still awaiting action.” There's a problem, according to an Ear informer.

THE PROBLEM. The Ear informer said this Tsinoy businessman's problem is that the so-called new style barbershop he is running is “truly new style.” It may not be in keeping with Pinoy culture. “Ang iya man gud nga mga barbero(a) pulos babaye ug samtang nagtrabaho nag-shorts ug bra.” He said his barbershop of this kind is doing well in Macau and another one in Hong Kong. A third one is opening soon in Pattaya, Thailand.
