Very careful candidate

NEIGHBORS IGNORED. A candidate for a local position was driving his car from a southern town to Cebu City when he had to stop on a red traffic light. Three neighbors were standing near the traffic light post but he didn't give them a ride saying later he was afraid to be charged with electioneering.

COMELEC MAN. The candidate told an Ear informer he had to explain to the neighbors he had ignored that there was a Comelec man in another car also stopping on a red light. “Kuyaw makit-an ta. Gabantay gyud ko nga di maka-violate og lagda sa Comelec,” the candidate said.
