Something wrong in our country

A LAW EACH DAY (KEEPS TROUBLE AWAY) - Jose C. Sison - The Philippine Star

It is not yet so perceptible but there is definitely something wrong in our country that is gradually emerging only in recent days. Most of us perhaps have not noticed it because we have been bombarded with too much propaganda about the supposed virtues, the good traits and glowing accomplishments of this administration particularly our President who has been extravagantly “glorified” in media. PNoy himself may not realize that we are heading in the wrong direction because of the sycophants and the “cordon sanitaire” around him. So it is about time for all of us especially PNoy to make an honest to goodness assessment of our present situation.

Actually, PNoy supposedly ran and overwhelmingly won the 2010 Presidential elections (according to the questionable PCOS machines)  as the candidate of the Liberal Party which is one of the oldest political parties in the country with an ideal platform that purportedly serves the peoples’ welfare and best interest. Hence people expected that he will harness the services of his competent and qualified party mates and other dedicated public servants to run the affairs of government pursuant to their party platform and principles.

However, while he really appointed some capable and brilliant Liberal party members to some important positions, most of the people now in government offices, especially the “juicy” ones, are his “kabarilan, kabarkada and kaiskwela”. They are the ones practically running the affairs of government and/or serving as his policy advisers. They are the most influential people surrounding PNoy and advising him on his decisions and/or actions.

And this is the alarming part in our situation now. Some of these very influential people closest to PNoy belong to the militant leftist organizations. They are the communist ideologues of the past who were given the chance by our Constitution drafted during the reign of PNoy’s late mother Cory, to pursue and advance their ideology by participating in our political elections through the party list system of representation. From the streets of the country’s urban centers, they are now advancing their cause in the halls of Congress and the corridors of power in Malacañang.

The best evidence to prove my point is Ronaldo Llamas, the Presidential adviser on Political Affairs holding office in Malacañang. Llamas is undeniably a well known and leading member of the leftist groups who is apparently a close confidant and intimate friend of PNoy. He seems to be really “untouchable” such that when his vehicle was apprehended last year containing unregistered high powered firearms, no charges were filed against him.

Aside from Llamas there are other leftist personalities close to PNoy mostly women who have exerted a lot of influence on him. Prominent among them is Risa Hontiveros, foremost backer of the RH law and a loser in the 2010 senatorial elections who is again included in PNoy’s Senatorial slate in the coming elections, now with more logistics and resources to insure victory. Then there is also Edcel Lagman, a known ally of the past president but apparently supported by PNoy as the principal sponsor of the RH bill. Other militant leftist party list organizations like Bayan Muna, Anak Bayan and Gabriela seem to have stronger connections with PNoy. The recent headline news about Bayan Muna getting the first pork barrel this year shows without doubt that the present administration is indeed the most left leaning and leftist oriented government we had since we became an independent nation in 1946.

But the more dangerous aspect in our present situation was recently pointed out by Bobit S. Avila in his column also in the Philippine Star. He wrote that majority of these “above ground” leftists were once upon a time “allied with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) who “want us to think and believe that communism has started to diminish in the Philippines although these communists (not just in this country) are now actually propagating “a way of thinking… called atheism”.

This is the Godless ideology that actually prevailed when the RH bill sponsored by these leftist groups with the backing of foreign lobbyists was passed by Congress. Apparently, they were able to finally convince our President to aggressively push for it using all the resources of his office to ensure its passage. Indeed, during the almost 14 years that this bill has been introduced and reintroduced in Congress PNoy is the only President who openly interfered and pressured Congress to pass it despite its atheistic features particularly the breach of the Divine Natural law on the transmission of life and the desecration of the sanctity of marriage and family life deeply enshrined in our Constitution. PNoy’s action in this regard is really unprecedented and quite alarming as he even disregarded the principle of separation of powers also enshrined in our constitution just to favor the leftist groups.

Obviously, the leftist groups have been emboldened by their strong connections with PNoy. So they are now introducing other atheistic measures like the Divorce bill which is another aspect of the culture of death arising from the contraceptive mentality cultivated by the RH law through its provisions subsidizing artificial birth control methods. Eventually, the leftists groups aim to introduce into our shores all the other aspects of this culture by means of legislations legalizing the atheistic practices in other countries with an RH law similar to ours. These consist of divorce, euthanasia, abortion, total fertility control, and homosexual union. Unless this RH bill is nullified therefore, the future generation will bear the brunt of these dire consequences.

Now at least we have an idea of what is wrong with our country. More prayers at this time will surely help a lot.
