Writer calls for revival of Oracion practice

 ANGELUS. A Cebuano writer is calling on fellow Cebuanos, especially the young, to join his campaign for the revival of an old Sugbuanon practice of praying at the stroke of 6 p.m. known as Oracion or Angelus hour. “Murag nalimtan na ning bililhong kinaiya natong mga Sugbuanon,” he said. 

PRAYER. Time was when Cebuanos of old would stop doing what they were doing when the church bell rings to announce the Oracion or Angelus hour. People walking on the streets would stop and pray. “Bisan ang mga tartanilla mohunong gyud isip pagrespetar sa Oracion,” said a Cebuano oldtimer.
