Big surprise this morning (Sept 8, 2012) in reading in your esteemed newspaper the article ‘Bastille Day in Cebu’ by Honey Jarque Loop supported by photos. Indeed not only this event, also known as ‘French National Day’, was celebrated on July 27 but it was already reported by the same writer on August 23 under the title ‘A day for France’.
Why the need to again and again to twist the knife in an opened wound in the majority of the French Community who is never invited to celebrate this yearly event? Why the pleasure to deepen the wound? The insult goes on. (FREEMAN)
