Faulty brakes again

THE EAR - The Philippine Star

FAULTY BRAKES. Vehicular accidents caused by the motor vehicles’ faulty brakes continue to happen. Many people continue to die or get injured because of defective brakes. The Ear once brought this matter to the attention of concerned authorities with the suggestion that a periodic check of motor vehicles’ brakes be made. The Ear was assured by a traffic official that our suggestion would be given due course.

NO “DUE COURSE.” But no such “due course’ was ever made. Faulty brakes continue to kill or maim innocent people. In Manila, a passenger bus with defective brakes plowed into a store destroying properties and injuring people. In Mindanao, a passenger bus fell down a ravine because of faulty brakes. “Lisud ba gyud ang pag check up sa mga preno sa atong mga sakyanan?” a concerned citizen asked.
