Samurai sword scares some jeepney passengers

THE EAR - The Philippine Star

SAMURAI SWORD. A man with an unsheathed samurai sword created some fear among jeepney passengers bound for Lahug recently. In fact, at least women passengers got off scared, according to an Ear informer.

DEADLY WEAPON. The women said to our informer that “open swords” like samurai swords should not be allowed in passenger vehicles as there is no telling if the persons carrying them are not harmless. They said swords could be as deadly as handguns.

LANAO INCIDENT. The Ear informer recalled an incident in Lanao some years ago where a bus passenger with a Muslim kris (long knife) went berserk and killed four of his fellow passengers.
