"Unchristian" statement on Metro Manila's floods

THE EAR - The Philippine Star

“IRRESPONSIBLE STATEMENT”. A restaurant owner who personally does the purchasing of supplies at the Carbon Market got into a bitter verbal clash with a fish vendor on the Manila floods issue. The resto owner heard the fish vendor speak aloud: “Gigabaan ang mga taga-Manila kay mga hambugero. Gilunopan lagi dah.” The resto owner who found the statement “irresponsible” told the fish vendor so. And the bitter exchange of hot words ensued.

“NO TONGUES BARRED”. The Ear informer said the restaurant owner felt bad not because her husband is Manilan but because she considered the statement “unchristian” and “grabeng bastosa.” The fish vendor, according to The Ear informer, challenged the resto owner, a charismatic movement member, to a fist fight.
