CHINESE VS. ENGLISH. One nominee for the position of Chief Justice said during an interview with the JBC members that he was for the replacement of English with Chinese as the Filipinos’ second language. He said English would soon be no longer the lengua franca of the world.

DECISIONS IN CHINESE? This nominee answered the questions in English and Tagalog. No one asked him if he would write his decisions in Chinese if chosen Chief Justice.
