We're no texting capital of the world

 A young college girl who loves to wear tight-fitting jeans all the time asked her Mom: “What are twisted testicles, Ma?”

 Of course, this health problem is the men’s headache. No worries for the women unless they’re actually men moving around as transvestites.

 The medical experts say that if any man prefers to put style before health, it’s up to him. This is a free country. Any male is free to twist his testicles by wearing tight-fitting trousers.

 It is often said that the Philippines is the world’s mobile phone texting capital. It’s not quite so. A World Bank study shows we rank only No. 15. There are more cellphone users in countries perceived as poor like Bangladesh and Nigeria.

 The world’s No. 1 in terms of people using cellular phones is China with more than a billion cellphone users. It is followed by India with a little less than a billion units. The next eight largest cellphone users are the United States, Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, Japan, Pakistan, Germany and Iran.

 Maybe we’d rank higher in terms of mobile phone users in the next few years when our population hits 100,000. As you can see, it’s the country’s population that makes it rank high among cellphone-using countries.
