Fighting taxi drivers

FIGHTING CABBIES. Two taxi drivers were locked in a heated argument outside of a pier area and were about to trade blows when the usual cooler heads intervened. The trouble arose when one of the drivers accepted a passenger whom the other driver turned down because he (passenger) did not agree to the “sabot-sabot” fare arrangement.

STILL THERE. Taxi drivers who refuse to give a ride to any passenger who refuses to agree to the “sabot-sabot” fare are still operating in the waterfront area. The Ear knows because many taxi passengers continue to complain.
