A bill seeking to ban religious activities

THE EAR - The Philippine Star

AGAINST RELIGION. A bill has been filed in the Lower House which seeks to ban religious activities of any and all religious sects or churches. It also aims to ban religious symbols in offices, especially those of government officials. A party-list congressman is the author of this anti-religion bill.

IGNORED. An Ear informer who claims to have read the bill says this bill is being ignored by most congressmen. "I don't care about this bill," a congressman was quoted by our informer as saying. "Anyway, it won't pass." This reminds one of a congressman who introduced a bill many years ago seeking to ban typhoons.
