Ombudsman is ombudsman. It has no female form. But I heard at least two of my favorite senators call the honorable Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales Ombudswoman.

Sen. Miriam Defensor- Santiago virtually endorsed ex-Congresswoman Risa Hontiveros for senator in the coming senatorial election. She gave Risa the plug after the former congresswoman’s stint as witness in the CJ impeachment trial last Wednesday.

Risa Hontiveros is being eyed for a slot in the Liberal Party senate slate. She almost made it in her first try in the last senate race. Many observers believe she’ll make it this time.
