Robbed of expensive shoes

JUST THE SHOES. While on board a jeepney in the North Reclamation Area, a student was held up but was divested only of his expensive rubber shoes. “Gitiunan ko og kutsilyo sa hold-upper ug gipahubo akong shoes,” the student said. He said the shoes had just arrived from the States as his graduation gift from his brother.

MANYINSTANCES. The student went home barefooted. He was told later that that spot where he was held up (near the burned White Gold building) is where many holdups had taken place and students are mostly the victims.
