Covering crime suspects' faces, is that all right?

- The Ear -

SUSPECTS. A nun said to a mediaman: “I don’t know if there’s a law allowing or even requiring criminal suspects to cover their faces with towels when in front of TV cameras. Some even wrap themselves with blankets.” The nun said: “OK ra man na kay malooy man ta nga mabulgar ilang identity bisan suspect pa sila pero, what do you think?”

AFTERTHOUGHT. As an afterthought, the nun said it would perhaps be better if they’re disallowed to cover their faces “aron ma-forewarned ang publiko.” She said in the States, where she was assigned for some years, criminal suspects do not cover their faces when in front of the news cameras.
