Betting on the impeach trial with rice as bets

BETTING ON CORONA TRIAL. Some business people are betting on the result of the impeachment trial. One group composed of three businessmen is betting on acquittal. The other group composed of the same number of business people is betting on a guilty result. "Pustaanay kini diin ang mga kabus maoy mabulahan," said the Ear informer.

THE BETS. Some 100 sacks of rice are on the betting board. Under the terms of the betting, the winning group gets all the 100 sacks of rice but it must give the rice away to a list of beneficiaries. "Sila-sila ra ang nagpinustaanay, way apil ang taga gobyerno, ug sila-sila ra sad ang mo-apod-apod sa bugas ngadto sa beneficiaries," explained the informer.
