Motor vehicle license plates

CAR PLATES. A retired car shop proprietor has suggested that car plates with the name of the city or province like before be revived. He said with the name of the city or province embossed on the car plate, it would be easy for anti-carnap authorities to determine where the car came from.

COMMON PRACTICE. This car shop operator told an Ear informer that putting the names of the cities on the car plates is still common practice in many advanced countries. Which means, perhaps, that it is effective in the drive against carnapping or car stealing. “Ato nang ibalik dinhi,” he said. “Nahibong ko nganong gitangtang man sa mga bright boys ang origin sa sakyanan sa car plates.”
