Many are yet to be saved?

- The Ear -

SEA OF HUMANITY. After seeing the huge number of people (one paper described it as “sea of humanity”) hearing the Misa de Gallo in just three churches in the city, an erstwhile Catholic taxi driver who had just gone over to the Christian (Born Again) side, told his wife: “Nagkadaghan man gihapon ang mga Katoliko, Day.” The wife who was instrumental in her husband’s short-lived conversion said (according to the husband): “Daghan pa ang wala maluwas (saved).”

BACK TO BARRACKS. The taxi driver told his passenger, a mediaman: “Mi-return to barracks (back to Catholicism) ko oy. Bahala na’g dili maluwas basta daghan mi.” He laughed. He said his wife had told him before: “Ayaw tan-awa ang gidaghanon, ang kalidad sa mga sakop maoy tan-awa.”
