Balikbayan suggests drive vs. "dirty sign" on the walls

DIRTY IMAGE. A Cebuano balikbayan says: "Let there be a thorough campaign against the posting on the walls and other public places of signs like 'Don't urinate here' and/or 'Don't spit here' as these postings are giving us a dirty image especially in the eyes and minds of foreigners." He said he had been told that there was such a campaign "pero naa pa man gihapon koy nakit-an nga 'Don't urinate here' and 'Gidili ang pagpangihidinhi'."

BEAUTIFICATION. The same balikbayansuggests a drive against these signs should be included in the beautification program of the city. "It gives foreigners a dirty picture of our city in their minds," he said referring to these postings on the public walls.
