RECLA ROADS. A retired high national government officials has expressed joy upon knowing that roads (or some of them) at the North Reclamation Area (NRA) will finally be cemented. He said he is aware of the fact of the funding for the road cementing is “somewhat controversial” but the general public who will be benefited by the project “should not care.” He stressed: “Let the city officials quarrel but let the project go on ... public interest should always prevail.”
THE REASON WHY. The said retired government official said he is concerned about the road condition in NRA because “they have already became a blot on the face of a city we call Queen.” He said he passed by the recla roads twice with guests from Malaysia in tow and was embarrassed when he saw some human waste on the roadside. “Let all the NRA roads by cemented,” he said, “not just some.”
