Two cases of mistaken identity of medicines
MISTAKEN IDENTITY. A city resident recently nearly landed in jail for taking a medicine that a cop thought was an illegal drug. It turned out to be a reliever for stomach pain. It was a mistaken identity of the medicine. “Unta ang tanan polis ipa-ubos sa drug/medicine identification training,” the near-victim of police ignorance said.
SIMILAR INCIDENT. A similar incident also took place some years ago. A jogger was about to swallow his over-the-counter medicine when a policeman collared him and seized the medicine. Luckily for the jogger, there was a doctor nearby who assured the cop it was a medicine for migraine.
