BANANA-CUE. John (not his real name) is an American married to a Filipina in Sarawak, Malaysia. He and his wife are legitimate residents in Sarawak where they are into banana-cue business, the first in that area. The couple learned about the business while still living in Davao, PHL. They introduced banana-cue in Sarawak when they resettled there five years ago, according to an Ear informer. “Ni-click dayon kini kay giila man nga ‘halal’ usa ka pagkaon nga akseptado sa mga Muslim,” John’s wife told the Ear informer.
BANANA PLANTATION. John and his Pinay (Davaoena) wife get their banana supply from a Malaysian datu who owns a banana plantation in Sarawak. They had tried to import green banana from Mindanao but they dropped the idea because of “so many requirements to meet.”
