God in the center of RH Bills debate
“Noy Off to Thailand” — headline. To strengthen the Thais that bind us?
* * *
The news story says PNoy’s official trip to Thailand costs P4.4 million. A PNoy fan was heard saying: “Kon agrabiyado ang bayan gipasakay lang unta ang Presidente sa pambot.”

I read this in a news item: “He is more than 30 years or more.” Just a comment.

A “dieting advocate” says dieting is good for the health. I repeat the question I asked in a past column: “Who was it who siad that dieting is a way of starving to death so you can live longer?”

A survey says that most men go to watering holes to forget their problems. But some of them forget the cashier.
* * *
That’s why the famous counselor Ann Landers said in her column: “Those who go to the beerhouse to forget must pay in advance.”

God is now in the center of the congressional debate on the RH Bill. I hope this is not the reason why God did not come down as predicted by an American preacher last May 21. “Maybe He didn’t want to get involved in the foolishness of his creations,” said Noy Temyong.

Once in a while I get some teasers, twisters or testers in my mobile phone. The other day I got some from an unknown texter. Here are a few: “I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch ... If Stu chews shoes, should Stu choose his shoes? ... The soldiers shouldered shooters on their shoulders ... Cows graze in groves on grass that grows in grooves.”

Presidential spokesmen Edwin Lacierda has gotten the goat of some columnist for his statement that the rating of PNoy has been going down because of the columnists. Lacierda has a lot to learn about good PR from GMA’s Press Sec. Cerge Remonde.
* * *
Cerge wasn’t able to raise the acceptance rating of GMA — and Cerge has accepted this — but no admin backer blamed him because it was a helpless exercise.
* * *
Because Cerge knew how to get along with media, from whose ranks he came, he was able to soften the attacks from influential leaders of the press.
