Business executive gives away ukay-ukay garments on his birthday

HIS WAY. The president and CEO of a big private corporation was seen in an ukay-ukay shop recently buying two bagfulls (or sackfulls) of used clothing. He was assisted by his driver. His driver said this is the business exec’s way of celebrating his birthday (last April). “Ipanghatag ni Sir ang iyang gipamalit nga ukay-ukay sa iyang mga kabus nga silingan,” the driver said. “Iya pa una ning palabadahan.”

SECOND TIME. It was the second time the said corporation prexy and CEO celebrated his birthday that way, according to his driver. The first time he did this was for the benefit of the fire victims in his barangay. “He personally selects the ukay-ukay garments and delivers them to the laundry shop for laundering,” according to his secretary.
