A painless way to be pardoned by God cited

- The Ear -

FOREIGN REPORTER. A foreign news reporter with a group of tourists who witnessed the reenactment of the crucifixion in Pampanga was observed to be shaking his head many times while the event was going on. After the reenactment every tourist was asked what he thought of the event. It was found out that the reporter was a priest-journalist commissioned by a US publication to cover the crucifixion.

PAINLESS WAY. The American priest-journalist did not criticize the reenactment but commented that the Catholic Church offers Her believers a painless way to seek pardon for their sins — Confession. “You don’t have to be beaten up and nailed on the cross to be pardoned,” he told the Pinoy reporter who, like him, also covered the crucifixion.
