Remember the secret of Fatima? Here it is!

A couple of months ago I received a small package in my office with no return address. Since I found it to be unimportant, I kept it on the side and didn’t open it until a few weeks later. Inside, I found a magazine entitled “The Fourth Secret of Fatima” written by Antonio Socci, a Catholic writer. Since there was no return address, I felt that perhaps the Blessed Mother wanted me to read this publication and publish my thoughts.

 It’s been awhile since anyone had written about the Miracle of Fatima. As human as we are, we often forget those important messages, especially at these times when the world is reeling from natural disasters, like what happened in New Zealand and Japan and the unrest in the Middle East. As the article of Antonio Socci is quite interesting, I will be doing articles on this, leading to the 4th Secret of Fatima and collect my thoughts in future columns.

 Supposedly there are only three secrets of Fatima and supposedly what Mama Mary had prophesied was already fulfilled. More so that Sis Lucia already died on Feb.13, 2005. But there’s more to this really. So allow me first to print what the three children - Jacinta, Francesco and Lucia - saw on that fateful July 13, 1917 at the Cova de Ira in Coimbra, Portugal.

 These are the very words of Lucia; “She [Our Lady of Fatima] opened Her hands once more, as She had done during the two previous months. The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in huge fires without weight or equilibrium amid shrieks and groans of pain, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear.

 The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent. This vision lasted an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, Who had already prepared us by promising, in the first apparition, to take us to Heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror.”

 Remember this happened on July 13, 1917 when World War I was just about to end, yet the vision that our Blessed Mother gave to those innocent children was an apocalyptical prophecy of where all of us who turn away from God and do not repent would go in our afterlife. It is a very gruesome picture. What I just reprinted from Antonio Socci’s article was part of the so-called 1st Secret of Fatima.

 Now on the Second Secret of Fatima, Socci quotes what the Blessed Mother told the children: “You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wills to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father.

 To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world. In Portugal the dogma of Faith will always be preserved etc. Do not tell this to anybody. Francisco, yes, you may tell him.”

 Let me point out that all that our Blessed Mother prophesied have come true. This second secret is proof, that while all the Popes recognized the apparition in Fatima, none of the Popes consecrated Russia to her Immaculate Heart which is proof that there are advisers of the Popes who did not believe in the message of Fatima. Yet in this second secret, Mama Mary said it clearly that in the end “My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me and she will be converted and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”

History shows that the so-called Iron Curtain ruled by Russia fell because Pope John Paul II obeyed the wishes of Mama Mary. I will write about the 3rd Secret next week.
