Could commercial sex workers join the SSS?

SOCIAL SECURITY FOR CSW. Someone who introduced herself as the mother of a commercial sex worker (CSW) visited our publisher the other day to seek information about Social Security System (SSS) coverage for CSW. “Mahimo bang mamembro sa SSS ug sa Philhealth ang usa ka ‘sex worker’?” she asked. Our publisher said he could not answer yes or no but would pass on this matter to The Ear readers who might want to give the answer.

MOTHER OR DAUGHTER? It does not matter who actually came to ask the question. Was the mother or the daughter in the hospitality profession? What was important was the desire to be a member of the SSS and Philhealth.
