Commendable act by an Caucasian man hailed
COMMENDABLE. While standing on a Colon sidewalk recently, a Caucasian man saw a banana peel thrown out to the street from a passing car. The man, shaking his head, walked to the street and picked up the fruit peeling. “Kay wa may trash box nearby, hikit-an ko ang Kano naggunit sa panit saging nangita’g kalabayan,” an Ear informer said. Commendable act, isn’t it?
TRASH BOXES. A reader has suggested that uniform trash boxes be placed along the sidewalks on Colon st. (somewhere near the edge facing the street). “Aron mahimo sab silang decor sa sidewalk, pintalan kini og colorful figures sama sa mga buwak ug comic characters,” suggested the reader who said this is what Bangkok environmental authorities did. “It beautifies the sidewalk,”? she stressed.
