Woman business exec reports and experience with bad cabbies
TAXI FARE. A woman who identified herself as business executive called up The Ear’s publisher to report a “sad experience” she had with a taxi driver. “I wanted to just ride in taxis during the holiday rush because of the difficulty in finding a place to park my car,” she said. “It was a decision that had my BP (blood pressure) soaring high.”
ABUSIVE CABBIES. “Nasugamak gyud ko’g duha ka taxi drivers nga grabing abusadoha,” she said. The first driver refused her a ride because he was still going to the gas station to fuel up. When the woman exec said, “No problem mohuwat lang ko samtang nagtubil ka,” she said. The driver changed his alibi: “Mo uli pa diay ko kay manihapon.” But she saw the driver picking up a young woman passenger just a few feet away.
SECOND DRIVER. The second driver would give her a ride but demanded a “plus 50 pesos addition to the metered fare. “Imbes tunlon ko na lang ang abuso sa maong driver, mitawag na lang ko sa bay nagpakuha sa akong sakyanan,” she said. (FREEMAN)
