AT A RESORT. During a media appreciation party held inside a pavilion at a world-class resort recently, a woman was suddenly heard singing “You are the one...” Thinking that it was part of the program, those who heard the singing didn’t think much about it. The singing stopped after only a few lines of the Karen Carpenter song, which made a female journalist comment, “Ay, local talent?” But resort personnel said that it wasn’t part of the hired entertainers and none of the wireless microphones were used.
EERIE VOICE. After awhile, the woman’s singing again started, which spooked some guests who this time commented, “bugnaw kaayo’g tingog.” Resort personnel decided to turn off the sound system. They assured the guests that the voice must be a feedback coming from the lobby of the resort. But a skeptical mediaman told The Ear, “Mora’g dili man pud posible nga feedback kay layo ra man ang lobby. Dili ba kaha taw-an ang lugar.”
