ALONG ECHAVEZ ST. Two women hailed a taxicab along Echavez St. last Thursday. Suddenly, they heard the driver of a Toyota Hilux behind them honk his horn. One of the female passengers said, “Nagsige gyud siya’g busina. Gusto siguro siya mo-overtake pero wala nakalusot.”
VERBAL THREAT. At the stoplight at the corner of Gen. Maxilom Ave. where both vehicles stopped, the irate driver who appeared to be in his 40’s got out and knocked forcibly on the cab’s window. He then pointed his finger and shouted at the driver. Then he said, “Pusilon tika ron!” The scared young cabbie was profuse in his apology. The angry driver returned to his vehicle but kept glaring at the cabbie until the light turned green and he then sped away. A mediaman who heard this commented, “Nagdala gyud siguro to’g pusil. Gun ban baya unta ron.”
