BACK FROM THE DEAD. The employees of a taxi company got the shock of their lives after one of their drivers reported back to work two days after he reportedly died. Two days ago his co-workers had heard over the radio that the driver had been stabbed dead in a crime. By coincidence, the driver was also absent since that day because he was sick. It was found out to be just a namesake involved in the crime. The “resurrected” cabbie told his co-workers he was wondering why his family received flowers of condolences from his company.
AMBUSHED. In another case a businessman received a flood of calls from friends following the ambush and death of another man with the same name as his. He had been assuring them of his safety all morning when another friend called. “Dili lagi to ako!” he said. “Kabalo ko nga dili to ikaw. Kung ikaw pa ‘to dili gyud ko motawag nimo, motubag pa lang unya ka,” his friend said in jest on the other end of the line.
