Pan de bokbok

FAVORITE SNACK. Last Monday, two women went to a department store’s bakeshop along Colon St. to buy bread for their afternoon snacks. With their coffee in hand, they proceeded to bite into their bread. Then one said, “Baho lagi’g ok-ok.” The other said, “Lain ma’g lami ang pan.” When they broke open the bread, they saw several insects buried inside. They exclaimed, “Yuuuck! Gi bok-bok man ni!”

BREAD EXCHANGE. When they went back to the bakery to complain to the salesgirl about the insect-infested bread, the salesgirl offered other kinds of bread in exchange. But the complaining customers said, “Kay ngano, lahi-lahi diay na inyong gigamit nga flour sa inyong mga pan? Usa ra gyud na ang gikuhaan sa flour.” She added, “Nawagtangan na mi’g gana uy.”
