City's homeless find skywalks useful on rainy nights

- The Ear -

SKYWALKS. Many of the city’s rarely used skywalks are proving to be beneficial to many of the city’s homeless residents during rainy nights. A male nurse said for the past four nights he had passed by two skywalks on his way home from work and found them full of families seeking refuge from the rain. “At least,” said the nurse, “Wa sad mausik ang kuwarta nga gigasto niining pipila ka mga skywalks.”

GOOD SAMARITAN. The same nurse said in at least two rainy nights he saw young people serving hot coffee and pan de sal to the “refugees” from the rain in one of the two skywalks he passed by. He learned later that those young people were members of a group calling itself. “Brown Samaritans” attached to a religious organization.
