Manny remembers long-time friend from General Santos

MANNY & EDOT. On his arrival at the Batasang Pambansa for the opening of the Congress session, Congressman Manny Pacquiao approached a bystander and hugged him. He was Edot, Manny’s friend back in Gensan when both were still trying to find ways to survive life’s hardship.

TEARY EYED. Manny was working then in a bakery while Edot was an errand boy. With tears in his eyes, Edot told people around that he never thought Manny would do what he did. “Wa siya malimot nako,” Edot said to a fellow Mindanaoan. “Iya pa gyud gisudlan dos mil bulsa ko. Tu gud luha ko.”
