TAXI DRIVERS. A Boholano who has been living in Australia for many years was in Cebu last week. He stayed here for two weeks and observed that many taxi drivers need to be lectured on courtesy. “Di gyud motabang alsa sa kinompra sa pasahero. Wa kuno kana maapil sa plete. Hastang maayong pamatasan pabayran?”
NOT EVEN GOOD MORNING. The same Boholano balikbayan said most cabbies here can’t even say “Good morning” or “Good afternoon” as the case may be to their passengers. “Didto sa akong gipuy-an sa Australia courteous kaayo ang mga taxi driver,” he said. “When you get off their cab, they say ‘Take care’ or ‘have a nice day.’”
