ON ROAD ACCIDENTS. An Ear informer talked to a cabbie yesterday to ask his opinion on the various recommendations of government agencies to prevent road accidents, one of which is to put up more road signs. The cabbie replied, “Tan-awa, dili man gani kabalo mobasa si Binay og traffic signs, kani pa kahang mga uyamot nga drayber.”
VP ON TV. The cabbie was referring to a television coverage last Monday where the convoy of VP Binay didn’t stop at a red light and made an illegal left turn even though there was a clear “No Left Turn” sign.
FOLLOW THE LEADER? The taxi driver further said that the common citizens would only follow their leaders. He said, “Kaming mga ordinaryong tawo, sunod ra man mi sa ehemplo sa liderato. Unya kung ang mga liders nato magpabadlong, aber? Aw, angay usa sila magtinarong kung gusto nila nga magtinarong sab ang mga tawo. Di ba?”
