ILLEGAL WIRE TAP. A mediaman complained about a neighbor who has been illegally tapping electricity for years but has never been caught. Worse, the mediaman said that this neighbor even has an electrical repair shop, has their lights on 24 hours and with TV and radio constantly turned on. The mediaman said, “Dako kaayo na sila’g konsumo sa kuryente. Ako na gisumbong sa Veco pila na ka buwan na apan hangtod karon wala tagai’g pagtagad.”
NO CONNECTION TO POWER SHORTAGE? When the mediaman complained about the illegal wire tapping that contributes to power shortage, the answer of the Veco spokesperson was: “Illegal tapping has nothing to do with power supply shortage.” The mediaman said, “Ha? So, ang buot pasabot nga kining mga kawatan og kuryente wala ni naka-affect sa supply sa kuryente? Di ba, naay cause and effect ang duha?”
