BEFORE THE CRASH. A video of the Iranian medical students on their way to Balamban for an outing was taken. This was before the bus plunged into the ravine that took 20 lives and injured dozens more. The video showed the passengers on good spirits, seated and watching the television monitor mounted on the front of the bus. A viewer who saw this commented, “Dili gyud nato mahibaw-an kanus-a moabot ang kamatayon sa? Malipayon sila tan-awon. Wa gyud siguro bisan usa nila nakahibawo nga daghan nila mamatay atong higayona.”
WAS THE DRIVER WATCHING? An Ear observer gave his own theory based on the video shown. He posed this question: What if the bus driver was distracted by whatever was shown on the tv screen, lost control of the vehicle, which resulted to the fatality of many of his passengers? He said, “Wa gyud ta kahibalo kung unsa ang nahitabo, pero what if, na distracted ang driver sa TV, maong naaksidente sila?”
