Should government amend the law to let only the intelligent Filipinos vote?

INTELLIGENT VOTERS. With many people who expressed their surprise at the number of people who voted for Erap, there have been coffeeshop talks about amending the law to let only those with college education and jobs be allowed to vote. The Ear overheard conversation at a cafe among young professionals. They blame the “uneducated” and “stupid” voters for the result of the elections, and for making Erap come in second.

VOTER REQUIREMENTS. One coffee afficionado said, “Why should we put our future into the hands of the ignorant voters nga dali ra ma-sway sa vote buying? Voters should be intelligent.” His friend added with “Bitaw. Dapat usbon ang law. Voters should be required to have high IQ, college level and working. Dili gyud mo-improve ang atong country if we continue to let the uneducated decide who our next leader should be. Let’s have an electoral college or something like it.”
