CAMPAIGN PUNCH. The Ear heard that two brothers who are both running for government positions this May elections fought over campaign funds. One brother is running for councilor, and the other, for congressman. The congressional candidate punched his brother and accused him of “hoarding” the campaign funds. The “councilor wannabe” is bankrolling the campaign of another brother who is running for mayor. “Gi-um um ang funds” were the words heard during the squabble.
MILLIONS? Mediamen and political observers speculated that the campaign fund must be considerably large to cause the fistfight. One mediaman said, “Naabot gud sa sinukmagay. Dako gyud siguro. Basin minilyon.”
