The Ear informer, a person who works in the Internet industry and a frequent visitor of various casinos in Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu, said that he would almost always see these politicians gambling in the casinos.

Another political candidate running for city councilor can be seen playing the slot machines in Fuente. A congressman in Cebu province could be seen also playing the slot machines in the hotel casino. A former mayor who is now retired from politics could be seen almost every night in the Lapu-Lapu hotel casino. The informer added, “Kaning si __, pirmi nako makit-an sa casino pero dili magdugay. Basin pang unwind ra na iyaha.” The mediaman is posing this question to the public: “Will you vote for politicians who gamble?”
