NOT AGAIN. The singing of the national anthem is always the sidelight of every boxing event of Manny Pacquiao. Famous singers have been crucified by the media and criticized by the National Historical Institute on the way the national anthem is sung. The latest singer lambasted by the NHI was Arnel Pineda, the vocalist of international band Journey. A frustrated mediaman was heard commenting, “Dili man gyud sila kontento sa kinantahan, hala, ang NHI nalang ang pakantahon. Siyaro.”

MANNY TO SING IN HIS BOUT? During a gathering of the Pacman’s friends and mediamen, a sportswriter raised the issue of people criticizing the singers of the national anthem. The Pacman jokingly answered, “Sa susunod, ako na lang ang kakanta.”
