CURTAIN REMOVED. A sari-sari store owner complained to The Ear that the curtain on the main window of her house was ordered removed by a barangay official. Reason: It was silk-screened with the face and name of a local candidate. “Against the law,” she was told. The woman asked: “Kon ang inyong kandidato maoy naa sa kurtina, OK ra no?” The barangay official got irked and said: “Pilosopo ka gyud da. Ipadakop tika nuon ron.”
POSTERS ON CARS. The same sari-sari store owner said she saw some cars with posters of some presidential candidates. “Dili ni against the law?” she asked. “Kon dili mapitlan sab nako ang akong kagang-kagang nga jeep.” A bystander commented: “Depende ra na kinsa imong kandidato. Kon parehas kandidato sa mananakop, no problem.”
