Fr. Suarez draws sea of devotees
I don't know who invented this. But I enjoy reading it and let me share my enjoyment with you.
Here are your presidentiables: Villar — Tondo Boy; Noynoy — Mama's Boy; Gibo — Lover Boy; Erap —Kanto Boy; Gordon — Amboy, Eddie V. — Altar Boy; Jamby — If I were a boy.

They're tearing down posters of the presidentiables. And replacing them with Ping Lacson's posters. Only Ping is wanted. Nobody wants Villar, Noynoy, Erap?

Joavan, the adopted son of Mayor Soc Fernandez, was quoted as saying: "Wa ka kahibaw akoa ang Talisay?" He reportedly said this as he reportedly pointed a gun at someone.

"This "landowner" will lose "ownership" of Talisay if or when his foster father loses in the May 10 elections.

The court has dismissed the First Gentleman's suit against some journalists. Call that "damaged" suit.

An archbishop in Luzon who talks a lot and criticizes a lot is against Fr. Fernando Suarez's healing ministry. This archbishop needs healing. Not in body, not in spirit, but in his tongue.

That was quite a huge, huge crowd of devotees that attended the healing Mass of Father Suarez at the Sto. Niño Pilgrim Center last Feb. 10, eve of the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The number of devotees could make up a barrio.

Father Suarez came on the invitation of Sir Dodong Gullas of UV and chairman of this paper, which carried a number of stories announcing the visit of the healing priest. Father Suarez's visit also highlighted the traditional observance of the "Ang Pagkanaug sa Birhen sa Lourdes," a solemn religious ritual under the auspices of the Gullas family with the imprimatur, as it were, of Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal and the support of the Augustinian community.

I would like to thank Sir Dodong and his wife Ma'am Nena for bringing me face to face with Father Suarez, which I needed considering my state of health. I have known him only through tv. I have always desired to have him touch me and my boss and benefactor who has always been concerned about my wellbeing made that desire come true at the Pilgrim Center.

Tolin de la Serna, who writes the "Iyo Antoy" column and the "Senior Citizens Corner" in Banat News was at the healing Mass last Wednesday. He brought his wheelchair-bound dear wife to the Pilgrim Center for healing. Now that proves my belief that Iyo Antoy is a good man. Padayon, Iyo.

My friend Daido Ramos Angel wants to put on record his gratitude to Porter No. 100 serving passengers on Superferry vessels plying the Cebu-Manila-Cebu route. He misplaced his P5,000 — in five crisp P1,000 bills — which the porter found and returned to him intact. "Napasalamatan ko na siya ug narewardan pero gusto kong mapatik aron mabasahan sa ubang porter diha sa pantalan," Daido said. So, here.
