Reader: Those who fire guns during new year should grow a conscience

REALIZATION. A retired military man was upset over the number of people injured by stray bullets during the holidays. He said that he used to be one of those people who fire their guns to welcome the new year but he stopped the practice when he realized the serious implications of his actions.

HARD HEADS. He said, “Sa unsa, magpasalba ko pagsugat sa bag-ong tuig kay naandan na kini sa mga naay armas. Pero sukad nakakita ko’g bata nga biktima sa stray bullet, na-konsiyensiya ko. What if ako tong bala ang naka-injure sa bata, di ba? Kanang gasige pa gyud og pasalba, wala pa na naigo sa konsiyensiya. Gahi pa na sila’g ulo. Unsa kaha’g ition na lang nang pusil sa ilang ulo, lalim ba.”
