Editor gets midnight call from government PR man

MIDNIGHT CALL. The editor of a local newspaper was awakened by a landline phone call one midnight recently. The caller identified himself as the PR man of a government office. Guess what was it he wanted in the middle of the night? He requested: “Palihug, Sir, butangi og Hon. ang ngalan ni boss sa press release nga gi-submit ko. Nalimtan nako pagbutang sa Hon. basi’g masuko, Sir.” The editor said he was not able to get back to sleep after that call.

UPDATING MEDIA. Praise is in order for the electric company’s spokesperson who keeps media up-to-date on the power interruptions the company has been doing to avoid long brownouts. Media personnel are informed about where and when the power interruption would occur. Great job.
