Sari-sari stores selling firecrackers to children

KIDS WITH FIRECRACKERS. An Ear informer has observed for several days now that sari-sari stores in Barangay Lahug sell firecrackers even to small children. The informer was surprised that even small children are buying and playing with dangerous firecrackers. He told a mediaman, “Di ba illegal ang pagbaligya og firecrackers sa mga bata? Wala gyuy nakabadlong aning mga tindahan ug sa mga bata.”

ATTENTION BARANGAY OFFICIALS. Several residents are already complaining since these children would light the firecrackers and throw them indiscriminately. One resident said, “Pataka ra ba’g labay ning mga bataa. Daghang mga tawo maangol ani ilang kabuang. Iresponsable ning mga gabaligya og pabuto sa mga bata. Wala ma’y gibuhat ang barangay ani.”
