Those leftists think they're right
GMA has ordered the "rapid annihilation" of the Abu Sayyaf. That's the nth time the Abu Sayyaf is being annihilated.

Have you heard those leftist partylisters in Congress attack the government? These leftists think they're right.

A news report says Hizzoner has expressed displeasure at the failure of the doctors in the CCMC "to prevent patients from dying." You know, I've been thinking all along that it's God who controls our lives.

Four national artists whose awards are being questioned and has even reached the Supreme Court have been put to shame, their names soiled. "I think they should sue GMA for the national shame they're now suffering from," said an artist (not national) who prefers not to be identified.

Why sue GMA? “Well,” said this artist. "If she didn't stick her fingers in the National Artist Awards these four controversial artists wouldn't have been shamed. Their time would've just come even without presidential interference."

My good friend and media colleague Ben Ypil who is vacationing in the US (Indianapolis, Indiana) is literally going places in Obama country. I learned from his very lengthy e-mail yesterday that he has been with another good friend and media partner Ed Recla in Boston.

After doing Boston, Ben was scheduled to visit friends and relatives in other parts of Tate, including Florida. At the rate you're going places, Ben, you ain't got the right to take potshots at Ate Glo. Correction: You got the right, Ben, because you're spending your own dolyar in your travels. Been to Le Cirque already, Ben?

E-mail from Nenuca Sison, a Cebuana in Hong Kong: "Congratulations to The FREEMAN on its 90th anniversary. You've come a long way. Sir Jabat, congrats to you, too." (Thanks, Nenuca. And thanks for not asking about my age. -- JVJ)

Sen. Noynoy Aquino has not ruled out the possibility of his running for a higher office -- presidency or vice presidency. If he finally does, and he wins, he should be prepared to face the so-called "militanteng pundok" who has never been known to like any president elected by the people. To this group, all Presidents, good or bad, are "tuta ng Kano."

Thanks to whoever that kind soul is who sent me a red apple on the occasion of Banat New's 15th anniversary on Aug. 23. Tied around the apple was a green ribbon with this message: "Happy 15th Banat News anniversary ... From someone who cares." OK, thanks for the apple and for caring.
